Who is responsible
RohitRohit.com is the personal website of Rohit, based in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, India. Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact page or to rohit@rcode.in.
What is collected
When you use the contact form, the site collects the details you enter: your name, email address, optional organisation and role, the topic you select and your message. It also records the page you sent it from and the time.
The web server keeps standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and troubleshooting. These logs are managed by the hosting provider and kept for a limited period.
Updates subscription
If you subscribe to updates, the site stores your email address, the date, the page you subscribed from and your consent. It is used only to tell you about new essays and updates, is never shared or sold, and is kept until you ask to be removed. Every update email explains how to unsubscribe, and you can also ask through the contact page.
Why it is collected
Contact form details are used only to read and reply to your message and to keep a record of the conversation. They are not sold, rented or used for marketing lists. Technical logs are used to keep the site secure and working.
Cookies and analytics
The site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If analytics are added in future, this policy will be updated first and any required consent will be requested. Some preferences in your browser, such as your last search filter, may be held temporarily by your own browser and are not sent to the site.
How long it is kept
Messages are kept for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and for a reasonable period afterwards as a record, normally not more than three years unless an ongoing collaboration requires longer. You can ask for earlier deletion.
Who can see it
Messages are delivered to Rohit's professional email and stored in a private file outside the public website. The hosting and email providers process this data on Rohit's behalf. If your message concerns one of the organisations listed on the Ventures page, it may be forwarded to that organisation with your agreement.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information held about you, to correct it, or to delete it. You can also withdraw consent to further contact at any time. Requests are handled in line with applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, as its rules take effect.
Health information
Please do not send personal medical information through this website. It is not a medical service and cannot provide confidential clinical advice.
Changes
This policy may be updated when the website changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
